“Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.” – Dr. Seuss
What does nostalgia mean to you?
Despite our age, we all have those wonderful triggers to our memory that transport us back in time. Maybe to our high school days, our early childhood, or just a specific and cherished memory from our past.
What brings on those feelings and causes us to look back fondly can change for each individual. It can be something as significant as revisiting a special place from our youth. Sometimes it can be as simple as an old commercial from when we were young.
We’re developing a feature for The Hub about this generation’s nostalgia. Boomers have lived through some of the most dramatic and world-changing events in modern history. They have seen the world we live in change in ways that they could never have predicted. Their childhoods are completely different from those of today’s youths. So what is it like when they look back on those days of old. What do they miss? Do they admire how far we’ve come?
We’d like to hear from you about what makes you nostalgic. What are those things sure to bring back a flood of memories for you and what do those memories mean to you?
