This week we have our first of a two-part interview with Dr. Donald Savoi. Dr. Savoie founded the Canadian Institute for Research on Regional Development at l’Université de Moncton in 1983 which was renamed the Donald J. Savoie Institute earlier this year. He’s also advised the Canadian government, as well as Russia, China, and others. He’s now focusing on Canada’s maritime provinces and their economic development. He’ll join Costas to discuss these issues and why he thinks Ottawa has turned its back on the Maritimes.
