Are you ready to pull out the measuring cups and bowls? It’s the holiday season- so make way for holiday recipes and classic cocktails! In spirit of the holiday season, we’ve curated some recipes and cocktails that you’ll be sure to love- they can be brought to a small gathering- or simply to be enjoyed in the comfort of your home.

English Christmas Punch

Ingredients Needed:

  • 1 (750-milliliter) bottle dark rum
  • 1 (750-milliliter) bottle dry red wine
  • 3 cups strongly brewed tea
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • Seasonal fruits, for garnish

Wassail 

Ingredients Needed:

  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 5 to 6 whole cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 (750-milliliter) bottles dry sherry
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brandy
  • 3 large egg yolks
  • 6 large egg whites
  • Apple slices, for garnish

Peppermint Nanaimo Bars 

Ingredients Needed:

Base:

  • 3/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup shredded unsweetened coconut
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 6 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 egg, lightly whisked
  • Pinch salt

 

Filling:

  • 6 Tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 Tbsp custard powder
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 to 2 cups confectioner’s sugar
  • 2 to 4 Tbsp milk

 

Topping:

  • 4 oz semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 1 Tbsp coconut oil
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp  peppermint extract, or to taste
  • Crushed peppermint candies

Apple Poke Cake 

Ingredients Needed:

Cake Base

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for pan
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, at room temperature, plus more for pan
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 ½ cups sour cream
  • 2 apples, such as McIntosh, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch pieces

 

Caramel Sauce

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 6 Tbsp water
  • ¾ cup maple syrup
  • ¼ cup 35% cream
  • ¼ cup cold unsalted butter, cubed

 

Topping

  • ¾ cup 35% cream
  • 3 Tbsp maple syrup
  • 3 Tbsp sour cream
