Below are the top myths that we hear about our business model. Through our marketing and communication efforts, we continuously educate on what we are and what we are not. We will continue to slay these myths until they are no more. We ask that you please help us bust these myths when in a conversation about the SeasonedPros. Thanking you in advance for being a myth buster.
1) SeasonedPros is only for retired people
Collins Dictionary states that “A retired person is an older person who has left his or her job and has usually stopped working completely.” No one in our national talent network fits this description. A Seasoned Professional that joins our network has a minimum of 15+ years of business experience and are looking for fractional, interim or project roles that fit their expertise and lifestyle.
No one in the SeasonedPros talent network is retired.
2) SeasonedPros is expensive
When I hear that statement, I always counter with “compared to what”? Our flat fee is a fraction of search firm fees and nowhere near what management consulting firms would charge for an engagement. We offer a flat fee structure not a percentage of the salary nor an outrageous hourly rate. This has proven to be a cost effective way for organizations to access the business expertise they need to solve challenges and grow.
3) Our SeasonedPros are not tech-savvy
This is such a blanket statement and is simply not true. I would say that most of the seasoned professionals I have met are very tech savvy. And when I look at the profiles in our national talent network, the majority would be just as tech aware as any large group of people, some more savvy than others.
4) SeasonedPros in an executive search firm
SeasonedPros is not a search firm, we are an On-Demand Business Talent solution that focuses on connecting our business professionals to clients for project, fractional and interim roles.
An executive search firm is a company that specializes in finding and placing qualified candidates in full time positions and the standard fee for search firms in Canada usually ranges from 20% to 30% of the candidate’s first year’s gross salary.
