The natural, unparalleled beauty of Hawaii is no secret. From the white sand beaches, rainforests, and countless other sights, all six of the main Hawaiian Islands remain some of the most beautiful destinations on the planet. Although all are beautiful, each island is unique and offers different experiences for visitors. To get the best experience, find out which island is best for your next Hawaiian getaway!

Visit a piece of history

Oahu is an island for the whole family. Learn a bit of history at historic Pearl Harbor and admire World War II valor at the Pacific National Monument. The great experience of Oahu is more than the beaches and the resorts, the authentic Hawaiian culture is something that visitors often don’t want to leave behind. Explore the historic Iolani Palace, Hawaii State Art Museum and the Honolulu Museum of Art to discover some of Hawaii’s past. Of course, you cannot complete a Hawaiian holiday without surfing on Waikiki beach or the North Shore. Take in the beaches, history, dining and nightlife in the metropolitan center of Hawaii – Oahu!

An island for romance

It’s no secret that Hawaii, whichever corner or nook you turn to, is romantic through and through. However, for those seeking the ultimate experience in romance, Maui is the island for you. Visit the small town of Lahaina which seeps with charm, charisma and whales! During the whale season (December through May) this town is perfect for watching these incredible giants. Popular with returning Canadians, Maui is perfect for enjoying the beaches, snorkeling in Molokini or for golfing some incredible courses. For early risers, don’t miss catching the most breathtaking sunrise from the summit of Haleakala at an elevation of 3,000 metres (9,842ft).

Escape to tranquility

Known as “The Garden Isle”, Kauai is perfect for the nature lover. Visitors to this island often gush about the fresh air and the floral scent of the island where Jurassic Park and Pirates of the Caribbean were filmed. Take a hike and enjoy the idyllic views of Waimea Canyon which is almost 1,000 metres (3,280ft) deep and stretches 16 kilometers long! If the canyon doesn’t leave you breathless, hike over to one of the many waterfalls in Kauai and let the air soothe you.

Expand your horizons

With about 5 kilometres of white sandy beaches and mule rides, Molokai is a true nod to old-style Hawaii. Visit Kalaupapa National Historic Park and take a mule ride down some of the world’s tallest sea cliffs and enjoy the stunning bird’s eye view of the ocean.

Be adventurous – experience an active volcano!

The island experience is not complete without visiting the dramatic volcanoes on the Island of Hawaii. Wander the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and go through the Thurston Lava Tube, a 500-year-old lava cave in the middle of a tropical rainforest. Or get the full experience of the island and take a helicopter ride from above. Get lost in the sprawling size of hidden tropical valleys, cascading waterfalls, secluded beaches, mountain summits and of course, an unprecedented view of Kilauea’s lava flows. At night, have a one-of-a-kind experience swimming with the majestic manta rays.

Discover serenity and luxury

In the island without any traffic lights, peace and serenity are not hard to find. Experience the ultimate in luxury by staying at the new Four Seasons Resort in Lanai. Discover yourself or experience true solitude with loved ones in this tropical paradise of luxury!

Visit Hawaii

With countless activities, accommodations, a culinary scene just waiting to be experienced, and uniqueness that travellers won’t find anywhere else in the world – you can’t go wrong whichever Hawaiian Islands you choose.
