Dr. Sheri Price Discuss Changing Nursing Profession In Nova Scotia

January 12, 2016

Check out the latest episode of Encore by Boomerswork.com on 105.9 Seaside FM hosted by Costas Halavrezos!

Nurses are such a vital part of our health care system and one we cannot do without. That is why new startegies have been implemented to ensure Nova Scotia has a substantial network of qualified nurses. New educational strategies for nurses include bi-annual graduations for nursing students and new curriculum aimed to change the culture of health care. Dr. Sheri Price, an affiliate scientist as the IWK Health Centre and an associate professor at Dalhousie’s School of Nursing, joins us to explore these changes. She’ll discuss the current shortage of nurses, how the Boomers generation has impacted these changes, and the challenges of meeting the growing need for nurses in Nova Scotia.

Enjoy the show and be sure to join us for the next episode when we’ll look at one of our Boomerswork.com success stories with Bruce Hilchey.
