Explore Canada’s History at Halifax’s Pier 21

September 16, 2015

Check out the latest episode on Encore by Boomerswork on 105.9 Seaside FM hosted by Costas Halavrezos!

This week’s guest is Carrie-Anne Smith, Chief of Audience Engagement at the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 in Halifax. Pier 21 served as entry into Canada for many immigrants and the museum allows Canadians to explore, not only the country’s history, but perhaps their own family  history as well.

Carrie-Anne will join Costas to discuss the many insights into Canadian history that the museum offers. Carrie-Anne takes us through the various educational aspects of the museum, the importance Pier 21 holds in our nation’s history, and the various features they hope to add to the museum in the future. She also speaks on the many volunteer opportunities for anyone interested in getting involved with this Canadian wonder.

Enjoy the show and be sure to join us next week when we’ll be housing for the boomers generation with Dr. Don Shiner.
