Tomorrow marks the final day of a five day sports competition being held in North Vancouver. The events brought in over 3,000 athletes to take part in competitions in track and field, hockey, swimming and more. All of this is made more impressive by the fact that all athletes are 55 years of age or older.
The 55+ BC Games, formerly known as the BC Senior Games, kicked off on Tuesday with a ceremony and will have it’s closing ceremonies on Saturday night. The games have featured some amazing athletes proving that age is only a number. The Globe and Mail has some photos capturing these outstanding competitors displaying there skills. Check it out!
