Nova Scotia is officially the fastest aging province in Canada, just ahead of New Brunswick. The media age of the Nova Scotian population is the highest in the country and it has some people concerned about the provinces future. In 2012, New Brunswick addressed the problem by undertaking a study by experts and community members. The report was entitled Living Healthy, Aging Well, and looked at concerns and challenges of the demographic shift, as well as ideas for tackling the issue. On this episode, Kalin McCluskey, a scholar and professional in the field of aging, joins us to discuss the report and what actions have been taken.
